I was always aware the Pixies were one of Kurt Cobain's favorite bands, and that he was thinking of their sound while recording Nevermind, but it wasn't until 2004 that I made time for this influential band. Dan Lozoff gets 100% for credit for saying these words to me ten years ago: "You haven't heard Doolittle????". It didn't take me long to figure out that it was an alt-rock masterpiece.
Here is "Here Comes Your Man" and "Monkey Gone to Heaven" ...
