The purists are calling for my head. "This isn't a proper studio album!", they'll say. "There is no new material here", they cry. Who gives a damn. Yes, a lot of this is made of outtakes that goes back as far as ten years, but the songs here are fantastic, and the vibe is pure Stones. Considering all these facts, Mick, Keith and the boys made this sound like this was written and recorded in one take.
