(#206, From a Compound Eye by Robert Pollard)
Although Pollard had recorded a solo albums in the past, this one was significant for a few reasons. First, it was the first record he released after disbanding Guided by Voices. Second, this is a double album, and at 70 minutes and 32 seconds, this is still the longest Pollard album ever recorded. This record has two less songs than Alien Lanes, but is 29 and a half minutes longer. Many great songs here, and like almost every Pollard album, despite ranking this at #207, there are a handful of songs that are beyond terrible. But you'd expect that from a Bob Pollard release.
Here is "Dancing Girls and Dancing Men" and "Cock of the Rainbow" ...
