The Dirty Guv'nahs are giving away their latest album, Somewhere Beneath These Southern Skies, for free. You might think, "Well if they are any good, why would they give their record away for free?" Let me answer that for you. It turns out, I had never heard of The Dirty Guv'nahs before this past weekend. When I saw they were offering a full length album for free, I downloaded it, LOVED IT, and now, they have a new life long fan, who will buy their records the day they come out. So they come out ahead in the end. They've been compared to The Black Crowes, and even toured with them recently. They'll be in Chicago this weekend if anyone is looking to hear some good, live rock n roll music. And don't forget to check back on Friday, August 23rd to hear all of the August newgazzi artists on the 7th volume of the newgazzi playlist ...
