Fugazzi Grand (580-561)

580. "Smile" (Lily Allen, Alright Still, 2007)
I love that she doesn't hide the English accent. This is awesome.

579. "Some Like it Hot" (The Power Station, The Power Station, 1985)
Bobby Palmer and a few guys from Duran Duran, I believe. Sounds as good now as it did in the mid 80's.

578. "The Opposite of Hallelujah" (Jens Lekman, Night Falls Over Kortedala, 2007)
This was from the very first Paste sampler I ever heard, and I believe this was the first full length album I bought as a result of the samplers.

577. "Pensacola" (Joan Osborne, Relish, 1995)
I was dragged to a Dixie Chicks show about 10 years ago, and was pretty upset, until I saw that Joan Osborne was opening. What a voice!

576. "Davey Crockett" (Fang Island, Fang Island, 2010)
Thank you, Todd. Cool album...

575. "Drive" (The Cars, Heartbeat City, 1985)
The late Benjamin Orzechowski on lead vocals.

574. "Where's the Orchestra?" (Billy Joel, The Nylon Curtain, 1982)
These lyrics really hit home.

573. "I'm Alright" (Kenny Loggins, Essential Loggins, 1980)
Also known as "Theme from Caddyshack". Loggins provided words and music to nearly every movie in the 80's.

572. "Watching the Wheels" (John Lennon, Working Class Hero, 1981)
Pretty excited about the Lennon reissues coming out soon.

571. "Levon" (Elton John, Madman Across the Water, 1971)
Elton John owned the early to mid 70's, I can't stress that enough.

570. "Two Magpies" (The Fireman, Electric Arguments, 2008)
Macca's side project, which I rather enjoy.

569. "Miss Sweeney" (Weezer, The Red Album, 2008)
Bonus track that should have made the album.

568. "Fall in Two" (Guster, Parachute, 1995)
One of my favorite bands, very good records, great live...

567. "Halfway Home" (TV on the Radio, Dear Science, 2008)
Can't stand "Return to Cookie Mountain". Love "Dear Science".

566. "Berkeley Girl" (Harper Simon, Harper Simon, 2009)
Gonna have to pick up that Heavy Circles record.

565. "Two Weeks" (Grizzly Bear, Veckatimest, 2009)
I forget who recommended this to me (Jamie, Stephanie, Todd ??), but thank you !

564. "So Much To Say" (Dave Matthews Band, Crash, 1996)
This is the Dave I know and love.

563. "Sea Ghost" (The Unicorns, Who Will Cut Your Hair..., 2003)
When it's all said and done, this could be one of the most played songs on my ipod.

562. "This is Such a Pity" (Weezer, Make Believe, 2005)
One of the highlights of a pretty disappointing record.

561. "Alcohol" (Barenaked Ladies, Stunt, 1998)
"but now I know that there's a time and there's a place where I can choose....to walk the fine line between self control and self abuse"
