Fugazzi Grand III : My Top 500 Albums (#420 and #419)

(#420, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ by Bruce Springsteen)

The debut long player from The Boss.  Here's some trivia for you.  Manfred Mann's Earth Band cover of "Blinded by the Light" is the only song that Springsteen wrote that ever hit #1 on the charts.  Some other great songs on this record are "Growin' Up", "For You" and "Spirit in the Night".

Here's a live version of "Sprit in the Night" from 1973 ...

(#419, No. 4 by Stone Temple Pilots)

A return to form of sorts for Weiland and the boys, as this record has more of a hard rocking sound that they were known for on their first two albums.  Despite a lack of proper promotion on the bands part due to Weiland's one year jail sentence, the record did pretty well on the charts, and produced a number of hits.  My personal favorites on this album are "Down", "Heaven & Hot Rods", "Sour Girl", "I Got You" and ""Atlanta".

Here's the video for "Sour Girl" ...
